Biographical history
A new Planning and Development Committee involved the Montreal Association in a planning effort that began in March 1965. In August 1966 Guidelines for the Continuing Development of the YMCA of Greater Montreal presented the information that had been gathered, and defined the problems and issues. A City-Wide YMCA Seminar took place in September 1966 and a second was held in November 1967. Branch inputs were completed toward the end of 1967. In January 1968 the Metropolitan Board of Directors approved a report containing the findings and conclusions of the Committee. In March 1968 the Planning and Development Committee terminated; it was reconstituted as a permanent committee of the Board of Directors, called the City-Wide Planning and Development Committee.
