George E. Zinck was employed as an accredited property appraiser for the federal Dept. of Munitions and Supply, Office of the Wartime Administrator Canadian Atlantic Ports, Explosion Damage Claims division, at Halifax, N.S.

Art Zimmerlee married Lil Horsefall. They had three children: Meda, James (Jody) and Edith. The family lived at Russell Post on the MacMillan River in the winter, where Art trapped, traded furs and operated the Russell Post. In the summer they lived at Fort Selkirk where Art was a partner in the Schofield and Zimmerlee Store. The family moved to Vancouver in 1939. Meda (Zimmerlee) Alcock attended grade school at the old Lambert Street School in Whitehorse. She lived with the Erickson family at the Regina Hotel until the Zimmerlee family moved to BC. She was a member of the Vancovuer Yukoner's Association, and was known for making teddy bears out of old fur coats for door prizes at the Yukoner's Banquet. She passed away in October 2008.

Professor Jacob Zilber taught creative writing at the University of British Columbia from 1957 to 1989. He served as chairman of the University of British Columbia’s Creative Writing Committee prior to the establishment of UBC’s Department of Creative Writing in 1965. Zilber was also one of the founders of UBC’s Prism magazine and served as its editor from 1966 to 1973.
Jacob Zilber was born on May 15, 1924 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin in 1948 where he earned Honors in General Scholarship. He went on to earn a Masters of Arts from the University of Washington in 1957. Zilber joined UBC’s Department of English in 1957 as a Lecturer until 1962 when he became an Assistant Professor. In 1965 he held the position of Associate Professor and become a full Professor by 1975.
Zilber held memberships in various professional and learned societies such as CAUT and the UBC Faculty Association. He was also a member of the Industrial Workers of the World, the first director of the B.C. Writers Service and served as a judge for the ACTRA awards.
As a prolific writer, Zilber’s literary work has appeared in various Canadian and American magazines while his plays have been presented in Vancouver and off-Broadway in New York. A co-written screenplay, "The Inbreaker" (1974), became a feature film produced by the Bob Elliott Film Company of Vancouver.
Professor Jacob Zilber retired from teaching in 1989 and remains active in the field of creative writing.

Sally Friedberg Zerker (1928- ) was born and educated in Toronto, receiving a PhD from the University of Toronto in 1972. She joined the Division of Social Science at York University in 1970 and also taught for many years in the Department of Economics on a secondment. In 1994, Zerker published a book of articles as editor and contributor, entitled Change and Impact and is the author of The Rise and Fall of the Toronto Typographical Union, 1832-1972 (1982). She has also authored several articles dealing with labour history, the economic thought of Harold Innis, and the political economy of the international oil industry. Zerker was a member of the Ontario Energy Board and has made many contributions to the regulation and restructuring of the electricity and natural gas industries in Ontario.
