The collection consists of 59 negatives of scenes in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, including the fire at St. Dunstan's Cathedral, 1913, a parade on Kent, Queen and Grafton Streets, and Falconwood Hospital. There are several farm scenes, images of people in carriages, and photographs of a train wreck. More than half the negatives are unprinted containing images of unidentified persons and places.

The fonds consists of 239 images taken or collected by Jack Turner. Images include rural scenes of Prince Edward Island, particularly the O'Leary area, and include farming scenes, trains, harvest excursion trains, fox farming, social events, images of the Turner home and general store and Turner family members. Approximately 99 photographs were taken during Turner's service with the Second Canadian Siege Battery (1915-1919) and capture images of the front lines, as well as daily life of the soldiers, and the after-effects of the war. Approximately 7 images are official war photographs not taken by Jack Turner. The fonds also includes images by Turner dating from 1958 to 1975 of a plowing match, veteran's parade in Charlottetown, a blacksmith at work, some scenic views, and Turner's granddaughter, Leah.

The fonds consists of 163 photographic images taken by and collected by Millie Gamble dating 1905 to about 1920. The photographs include scenes of the Tryon area and its residents depicting everyday life - family and friends, school groups, picnics, beach scenes, farming, fishing, buildings, and community events. Several of the images include Millie's nieces Hope and Adelaide Ives. Several of the images include the Tryon Woollen Mills building.
