These records have come to the Provincial Archives of Alberta in a number of accessions over the years directly from the Boards of the Alberta Cricket Association and the Edmonton District Association. The accessions which are comprised of cricket memorabilia- PR1996.0609, PR1997.0393 - were donated by William Holmes, who in turn amassed these records from a variety of different donors. The materials comprising PR2010.0647 were deposited at the Provincial Archives of Alberta by Eric Mahabir on behalf of the Alberta Cricket Association on June 25, 2010.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of the records created and received by the Association in the pursuance of their constitutional obligations to: promote the Association to both its membership and the general public; promote affiliations with other cricket organizations through correspondence and meeting, and; manage the funds and finances of the Association in a fiscally sound manner. The fonds also includes records of the Edmonton and District Cricket Association and the Calgary and District Cricket League.

Access to accession PR1998.0201 requires the written permission of the Honorary Secretary of the Association. The remainder of the records are open.
