Scope and content

Fonds consists of an account book detailing payments made for work conducted on wagons, from 1877-1884. Following the volume’s use as an account book, it served as a recipe book, and contains many recipes clipped from printed sources which are sometimes loose but also glued over some of the accounts. Some recipes are also hand- written. Fonds also contains two photographs, one from 1906 of Alexander Brohman’s shop following a tornado, and one of the Mildmay telephone switchboard, dated 1926. Fonds also contains a few postcards and printed materials, including a booklet called “Canadian History Notes” by George E. Henderson and Charles G. Fisher, 1906.
