Biographical history

Alfred Bicknell was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada as a student-at-law in 1887, and was called to the Bar in 1892. He practiced law in Woodstock, Ontario, and later in Toronto, Ontario. Bicknell died on October 26th, 1932.

Custodial history

The volume was donated to the Law Society of Upper Canada by John M. Lowndes, Q.C., in 1979. Lowndes acquired the volume from Geraldine van Norman, the daughter of Bicknell.
