Biographical history

The Arctic Brotherhood consisted of a Grand Camp and a number of Subordinate Camps located in various communities throughout Alaska, Yukon and Northern BC, including Skagway, Dawson, Nome, Atlin and Whitehorse. The Grand Camp was composed of Past Grand Officers and a specified number of delegates elected by the subordinate camps. Membership was open to "any male person over 18 years of age and of good moral character". Function: The Whitehorse Camp, like other subordinate Camps, was established to "encourage and promote social and intellectual intercourse and benevolence among, and to particularly advance the interests of its members and that of the Northwest section of North America".
