Scope and content

The collection consists of audio tape reels of two special Anglican Church services in the Yukon. Two reels record a church service at the Old Log Church in Whitehorse on July 19, 1959 on the occasion of the visit of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh (91/109). One reel records a talk by Joe Kay at the Anglican Church Diocese Synod in 1968. Joe Kay was the Catechist who served the Anglican Church in Old Crow, Yukon for many years. The talk was interpreted by Edith Josie. The recording includes the singing of three hymns in Gwich'in (91/105).
