Biographical history
Henry and Emma Barnett arrived in Vancouver from England in 1915 and moved to Mission, B.C., in 1918. The Barnetts were involved with the Japanese-Canadian community in Mission. Emma Barnett taught Mission's Japanese-Canadian children in kindergarten for many years.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Barnett family, of Japanese Canadians in the Mission area, and various class pictures of the Mission School (1925-1931). The fonds includes the school register for the Japanese Kindergarten in Mission.
