Historique de la conservation
BPSD came into existence in 1968 with the consolidation of the school system. Each sous-fonds was created by the teachers and boards of rural schools. These records were accumulated by BPSD and turned over to BPA in 2006 and 2007. A few records that were misplaced over the years have been donated by private individuals.
Portée et contenu
This fonds holds most of the records for most of the schools in the northern part of the BPSD area. BPSD records have been split on a geographical basis - where the students go to high school, so do the records so that Carberry Plains has the records for Wellwood and south, BPA has the records for Brookdale and north.
Registers are the daily and annual records of the happenings within a school. Minute books record the meetings of the boards that controlled the schools. Other records show the accounting for the financial management of the facilities.

Most of the records are in good condition but Franklin School registers are in poor condition and should not be handled anymore.
