Biographical history

Bernard Goward was born in England in 1869. He immigrated to Canada and settled in Victoria, B.C., where he was a lawyer. He built a home in Saanich in 1908 and resided there until his death on Feb. 1, 1932.

The fonds consists of household accounts, cancelled cheques and legal papers of Goward relating to A. Toller, John Sinclair, Annie Richards, Hannah Clarissa Grange, Edwin Phineas Siddall, Annie E. Hobbs, Robert Pim Butchart, and D.M. Rogers. Many of the legal records relate to land agreements.
