Scope and content

The fonds consists of photographs and copied photographs dating from 1917 to 1978 which were collected and used in <em>Our Bend in the Peace: The Story of Royce and Lubeck</em>, and <em>End of Steel: Hines Creek, a pictorial history</em>, along with a newspaper clipping about Louie Garskie, and photocopied records about the 1928 surrender of the Beaver Indian Reserve.

Immediate source of acquisition

The photographs were compiled for the local histories <em>Our Bend in the Peace: The Story of Royce and Lubeck</em>, and <em>End of Steel: Hines Creek, a pictorial history</em>. Beth Tachit deposited some photographs and allowed others to be copied by the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1980. The originals of those copied were returned to her.
