Mrs. Steele's records were collected independently of Helen's records and were housed with the Helen Dawe collection at Mrs. Steele's house after the death of Helen Dawe in 1983. Some records were placed in the Helen Dawe collection, other documents and photographs were collected in a file folder or in envelopes or were found "loose" at Mrs. Steele's house.
Scope and content
Collection consists of researchers/visitors book for the Helen Dawe collection, correspondence, notes, photographs, brochures, calendars, newspaper clippings of people, places and events in Sechelt and District and the Sunshine Coast. Mrs. Steele was a very active member of the St. Mary's Hospital Society and her collection reflects this interest.
