The fonds consists of administrative, financial, and executive records created by the Bowen Island Chamber of Commerce and its predecessor organization, the Bowen Island Businessmen's Association. It also includes a series of the Bowen Island Chamber of Commerce’s newsletter and issues of the Bowen Island Guide.

The fonds consists of the operational records and various ephemeral materials of the Bowen Island Garden Club, including agendas, membership lists, photographs, and a memorial book.

The fonds consists of administrative and operational records of the Bowen Island Historical Preservation Association, including its constitution, minutes (1990-2004), correspondence (1981-2001), as well as copies of printed and published materials and collected reference materials pertinent to BIHPA activities.

The collection consists of photographs and postcards of a wide range of people, buildings, locales, and events associated with Bowen Island. These include a large number of images of: the Bowen Island Inn resort complex and ships operated by the Terminal Steam Navigation Company and later, the Union Steamship Company; churches; ferry launches operated by the Sannie Transportation Company; members of many island families; beach activities; school activities; sports; picnics; tent camping; logging; ferries; and, local areas such as Snug Cove, Deep Bay, Miller's Landing, Cowan's Point, Tunstall Bay and Hood Point.

The fonds consists of records collected and created by the Bowen Island Park and Store Use Society during its eight-year existence. The records include minutes of annual general meetings, correspondence, proposals, and reference materials. Additionally, there are a number of records, photographs, and ephemera from Heritage Day '84.

The fonds consists predominantly of photographs of preschool children and staff participating in various activities. Textual materials consist of newsletters and flyers.

The fonds consists of operational records of Bowen Island School, including annual reports (1893-1970), minutes and expense reports (1926-1946), correspondence, and the visitor’s book (1894-1922).
