Scope and content

The fonds consists of the administrative records of the British Columbia and Yukon District. They reflect the decisions made by the District, the rules which govern the District, and the means of communicating District news and events to the membership. There are six series. Series 1 - District Conference minutes and reports. Series 2 - District constitutions and by-laws. Series 3 - District circular letters. These records contain the instruments through which the District communicated with its membership about District events and activities. This series also contains copies of the District newsletter called "Fellowship News". Series 4 - District program records. These records consist of clippings and pamphlets about District events, camps, native ministries, women's ministries, and a church history prepared in 1977 for the 50th anniversary of the District. Series 5 - Curriculum. This series contains a manual entitled "Church Planting: A District Perspective" which was created by the British Columbia and Yukon District. Series 6 - Ministry Information Packets. These records are also known as Pastor's Paks and are distributed regularly to local churches by the district. They provide information about the programs and initiatives of the district.
