Brownsburg United Church trouve ses origines dans la venue de ministres itinérants méthodistes, en 1801, épiscopaliens, en 1815, et presbytériens, après 1819. En 1925, les méthodistes et les presbytériens se joignent à l'Église unie du Canada et forment la communauté Brownsburg United Church. Les presbytériens construisent leur premier temple «The Stone Church» en 1834. En 1851, un second Temple, «The Brick Church», est construit par la communauté unifiée de plusieurs petites dénominations presbytériennes. Leur troisième temple, celui qui est utilisé depuis lors, est construit en 1908. Lors de l'union de 1925, le temple presbytérien est utilisé par la nouvelle communauté
