The Joyce Barkhouse fonds consists of published and unpublished manuscripts of books, short stories, articles, and other writings, as well as photocopies and clippings of published materials, personal and professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, promotional material, and other material collected and created by Joyce Barkhouse.

This fonds consists of nine series: Articles and other writings, Books, Short stories, Associations, Awards, Biographical materials and other documents, Correspondence, Personal documents, and Promotional material.

Materials consist of manuscripts and proofs; correspondence with publishers, students, and teachers; books; publicity material; photocopies and clippings of reviews, profiles, and notices regarding awards and appearances; diaries; recorded radio interviews; and an assortment of other documents created and collected by the author throughout her writing career.

The Archives of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia consists of records created by the administration, members, and affiliates of the Federation. It includes a wide variety of materials including administrative records, audio/visual material, correspondence, financial records, meeting agendas and minutes for a variety of groups and committees, photographs, promotional and press material. The records refer to the adminstration and functions of the Federation, as well as its relationships with its members, government departments, and other writing, publishing and cultural groups.

Materials are mainly in English, with a small number in French. See individual Series descriptions for detailed scope and content notes.

Fonds consists of correspondence with friends and politicians; a variety of publications, pamphlets, newsletters, and programs; photographs; poetry manuscripts; miscellaneous newspaper clippings, some regarding the Nova Scotia Centre of the Poetry Society; and a scrapbook of miscellaneous newspaper clippings. The fonds also contains records related to The Nova Scotia Centre of the Poetry Society, including correspondence; poems; and copies of the society’s constitution and by-laws.

Fonds consists of correspondence, newspaper articles written by Cook, published and unpublished manuscripts, published articles, academic papers, association minutes, writings, subject files, financial records, and research files.

Fonds contains manuscripts and typescripts (print and electronic), drafts, page proofs, illustrations, digital photographs, and published copies of the novels, scripts, and short stories written by Donna Morrissey. It also contains e-mail and printed correspondence, press material and book reviews, and resource material from a workshop.

Fonds consists of records created and collected by the De Mille family, including Arthur De Mille, Anna De Mille, Nathan De Mille, Elisha Budd De Mille, Frederick E. De Mille, and Alfred De Mille. Materials include scrapbooks and journals, correspondence, business papers, photographs, and literary manuscripts by James De Mille.

This fonds consists of materials created and collected by Andrew Merkel. The fonds contains correspondence to and from friends and associates, including Charles Bruce, Kenneth Leslie, and Robert Norwood; manuscripts of articles, poems, and plays; Atlantic Radio and Aviation Magazine Papers; newspaper clippings related to his retirement and death; printed copies of The Song Fishermens’ Song Sheet and The Order of Good Cheer; and some other miscellaneous documents

File consists of one handwritten manuscript of the unpublished novel Lucy Cameron and a transcription completed by Pilar Cuder.
