The records of Cartwright United Church came to the archives of the conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of several transfers of records from the Cartwright-Mather Pastoral Charge between 1978 and 2000.
Scope and content
The surviving records of Cartwright United Church include: Sacramental registers, pertaining to Baptisms dating from 1910 to 1954, Marriages dating from 1910 to 1967, and Burials dating from 1913 to 1964; Membership Rolls and records of the Session, including minutes and a Communion Roll and Register, dating from 1926 to 1971; records of the Christian Education Committee, including minutes dating from 1962 to 1965; records of Annual Congregational meetings, including minutes dating from 1945 to 1975; records pertaining to church property and the Board of Stewards, including minutes and financial records, dating from 1926 to 1987; records of the Ladies Aid, WMS and UCW, including minutes, rolls and financial records, dating from 1920 to 1979; and reference material regarding the centennial anniversary of Cartwright United Church, W.J.McCreanor and the Pollock family fund, dating from 1952 to 1999.
