CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military Museum
CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military Museum was opened in 1985 under the direction of the Canadian Forces Bases Commander and operates as a non-public fund institute. The museum's purpose is to collect, preserve and display historical artifacts, photographs, and documents relating to the naval and military heritage of the Esquimalt area.
The museum acts as a central repository for documents, papers, books, photographs, and other archival material relating to the military presence on Southern Vancouver Island (defined as south of the 49th Parallel).
