History
The Chase and District Museum and Archives Society was established in 1984 and operates the Chase and District Museum and Archives at Chase, B.C. The museum was opened in 1987. The society acquires, preserves, and makes accessible artifacts, archival records, and historical reference material relating to Chase and area in the Kamloops-Shuswap district of B.C.
Records management and collecting policies
The holdings relate to the development and settlement of Chase and district. The area encompasses the communities of Chase, Shuswap Station, Chase Creek, Turtle Valley, Pritchard, Squilax, North Shuswap and Adams Lake. Holdings include journals, ledgers, minutes, letters, photograph collection, oral histories, clipping files, local newspapers and maps.
