The fonds consists of materials created by the City of Edmonton Business Development Department and its predecessor, Industrial Development Department between 1946 and 1978. The fonds consists of these series:;1. Business and Industrial Records (1946-1978) The series consists of brochures, correspondence, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, and reports relating to business and industrial activity in the Edmonton area. This series has been further divided into three sous-series: Business and Industrial Records; Expo 67; and Klondike Days. 2. Departmental Records (1948-1976) The series consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, and reports relating to the operation of the Business Development Department and its interaction with other city departments. The series has been further divided into two sous-series: Departmental records and Interdepartmental records. 3. Government Records (1955-1978) The series consists of brochures, correspondence, minutes of meetings, and reports relating to the Business Development Department's relationship with the Provincial and Federal government. The series has been divided into the following sous-classes: Provincial Government records and Federal Government records. 4. Media and Public Relations Records (1957-1978) The series consists of brochures, correspondence, and promotional material relating to public relations and the media.
