The Shand House on Ferry Hill, Windsor, N.S. and its contents were left to the Nova Scotia Government by Gwendolyn Shand. Upon her death in 1982, the house and its contents officially became part of the collection of the Museum. Miss Shand's collection of research materials on the history of Windsor and Nova Scotia were bequeathed to NSARM.
