Western Union Telegraph Company (Heart's Content, Newfoundland) fonds

Fonds consists of a small part of the records relating to the company's Newfoundland cables, mainly engineers' and other reports, both originals and photocopies.

Fonds is arranged in three series: Engineers' reports, 1874-1926; General reports, 1910-1930; and Diaries and logbooks, 1866-1926.

Collection consists of videocassette recordings of various Shaw Cable Channel 4 programmes including: Plugged In, Cafe Canadian, Best of Island Country, On the Waterfront, Arts Now, The Advocates, Arts Digest, Battle of the Bands, Common Ground, DNE Comedy Show, Evening of Heart and Soul, Festival Cafe, Hour Town, In Conversation, Island Central, Island Originals, Off the Wall, Project Nanaimo, and Tidelines. Also includes considerable footage of the Marine Festival, parades, programme fillers, specials and many community, regional island events.

Mount St. Francis Hospital photograph collection

The collection consists of photographs of the area, the exterior and interior of the buildings, images of the staff (various years) and other persons involved with ongoing projects. Recent acquisitions are portraits of Lillian Mae Curtis McKim and Walter J. McKim, owners, operators of the McKim Poultry Farm (became Mount St. Francis property). Some images are result of newspaper publicity.
