Biographical history
Early in 1987, at the request of Diocesan Council, a Communications Task Force was formed to review and make recommendations on diocesan and parish communications. The Task Force proposed and received approval for a Diocesan-wide questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed and processed at no cost by the Decima Research Company from Toronto. The analysis was developed from a total of 1074 answered questionnaires. The results were presented in the "Report on the results of an opinion survey conducted Sunday, May 24, 1987 in the Diocese of New Westminster". The areas that were clearly set out as priorities for action within the church were: the development of outreach programs, initiatives designed to double the participation rate and to improve clergy training.
