History

Ken Cope and his wife Joan Cope, longtime residents of Calgary, Alberta, were community activists who worked with the West Bow Coordinating Council, the Handicapped and Elderly Transportation Committee, the City of Calgary's Planning Advisory Committee and other community associations to promote better life in their community and in the city in general. They opposed re-zoning of land for what they considered to be inappropriate uses, and lobbied for increased LRT accessibility, disabled parking and special needs transportation.
