Fonds contains the personal and professional records of four generations of the Bigelow family of Nova Scotia. It includes correspondence, legal and financial documents, diaries and memoirs, and photographs that document primarily the family's shipbuilding activities as well as the genealogical interests of John Robert Bigelow.

Fonds consists of Brian Flemming’s personal and professional papers which reflect his career as a regional and national political figure. The fonds contains both political and personal correspondence, including records created while Flemming worked in the Prime Minister’s Office, and correspondence with prominent Canadians such as Senator Michael Kirby, Paul Tellier, and Peter Bronfman.

The fonds also includes miscellaneous publications, speeches, political material, records of his work on behalf of various organisations, records related to his own business activity, and records related to maritime law and the law of the sea.

File consists of business and professional correspondence from various writers, including Captain Stewart Gould (some photocopies). There is also a balance sheet (ca. 1881-1888) showing loans, payments, and ships' earnings.

The fonds contains considerable material from the Dalhousie Review from 1950 to 1953-correspondence, book reviews, articles pending; correspondence relating to Dalhousie University Faculty of Graduate Studies and Senate; examinations and papers of Dalhousie students (bulk in 1930s); correspondence, outlines, and galley proofs of the Canada Books, I to VI, 1933-1951; correspondence and other material relating to the Down Under Club and Anzac Club, 1940s; personal papers, including Bennet's course notes and exams from his days as a student at Harvard; copies of acting scripts; photos of local theatre productions, School for the Blind, Dalhousie University English Department; photo of the first Soviet war bride in England (Nora Murray); copies of Archibald MacMechan's Late Harvest and E. Ritchie's In the Gloaming.

This fonds consists of records related to the governance of the association, meeting minutes, the activities of the various committees and sub-committees, membership lists, newsletters, and correspondence. It also includes program materials the CCFA used to promote knowledge and awareness about China; documents regarding the Communist Party of China; reference materials; a large collection of slides, primarily of two trips the association organized, one to China in 1975 and one to Asia in 1977; audiocassettes; and materials related to the lecture “How China Feeds 800 Million People” which includes a slide show, audiocassette, and transcription.

This fonds consists of correspondence, speeches, lectures, article and book manuscripts, papers and poetry, Greek prose, newspaper clippings, and other miscellaneous records.

Fonds contains materials documenting Catherine Banks' professional playwrighting career beginning with her first published play, Eula's Offer. Materials include research notes and drafts of scripts (both handwritten and typed), correspondence, contracts, production and publicity materials, a videocassette, a DVD, photographs, sketches, and a small selection of personal papers.

Fonds consists of papers created and/or accumulated by Catherine Creighton and her family, including those of her husband Graham and children Edith, Anna, Lois, Frieda, and Howard. While the fonds includes correspondence from Wilfred Creighton to his siblings and parents, Wilfred's papers are not included as a sous-fonds within the fonds.
