Fonds consists of records, reports, note books and questionnaires generated by Professor David R. Cameron as he investigated the status of Canadian Studies in the 1990s. The study was commissioned by the Department of the Secretary of State and the Report, "Taking Stock: Canadian Studies in the Nineties" was published in 1996. The Report looks at the progress of Canadian Studies in the years after the Commission on Canadian Studies which was chaired by Professor Thomas H.B. Symons with the Report "To Know Ourselves" being published in 1975
