Atkey family fonds

Fonds consists of photographs of scenes and people in and around the Ladner/Delta area (from ca. 1918-1923), students and teachers in the Delta Central School and Ladner Elementary School (ca. 1918-1923) and photographs of the Atkey family and friends. Fonds also includes one book, Webster's School and Office Dictionary (1914) and one pen and ink drawing by Ken Atkey.

Bates family fonds

The fonds consists largely of reference material, photographs, and memorabilia collected by Frances Bates as a result of her interest in Delta history and her participation in the founding of the Delta Museum. The fonds also contains records from the operation of the Bates' farm, and correspondence dealing with the expropriation of the farm by the provincial government for the Roberts Bank development. The fonds has been arranged in the following series: Frances Bates' history collection, Bates family farm records, and Photographs.

The fonds consists of written and compiled histories about the people and institutions of Delta, particularly as they were in the 1970s when the Cains created their albums, scrapbook and informally published book on Delta. The scrapbook also contains information about the Cains' community activities.

Bell family fonds

The Bell family fonds is arranged in three sous-fonds: Edith Bell sous-fonds, Edward Bell sous-fonds, and Harry Bell sous-fonds. Edith Bell's records include diaries, scrapbooks and photographs of family and community events as well as records pertaining to her membership in various organizations including the Imperial Order Daughter of the Empire. Edward Bell's records consist of business papers, particularly land records and wills. Harry Bell's records are personal records related to the Bell family. Through photographs, cartographic material, and textual records, the records document not only the Bell family, but much of the community of Delta. Edith Bell's records provide insight into Delta social affairs and families, while Edward Bell's business records reveal economic and social change as it is documented in land transactions.

Bertha Reynolds fonds

The fonds consists of photographs and records of Bertha Reynold's family and her activities as teacher, secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, and historian for the Delta Museum Society. The fonds contains Delta Pioneer Record Sheets for 93 families in Delta, B.C. They list the names of Delta families and their members. Information includes: dates of births, location of birth, date of marriages, location of marriage, date of burial, location of burial, grandchildren, and reminiscences. Also included are newspaper articles containing additional information on some of the families, and photographs of family and street scenes, mostly in Delta. The fonds also contains miscellaneous records of Ladner families and a notebook of newspaper clippings of the Delta Board of Trade (1934-36). Family activities on the farm are documented in photographs. The fonds also consists of six notebooks containing minutes, clippings and literature pertaining to the British and Foreign Bible Society from 1936-1977.

Bill Hasting's St. Mungo photograph collection

The collection consists of slides and photographs of the Glenrose Cannery and St. Mungo Archaeological digs, and staff and drawings of the St. Mungo archaeological site. The material was used as a display at a talk on the archaeological digs given by W. Hastings in 1983.

The fonds consists primarily of records created and received by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of School Trustees, and therefore are largely related to the functions of this office, which include: keeping records of all meetings; all matters of finance, the operation and maintenance of buildings, the maintenance of furniture and equipment; and all purchases required by the Board, as well as stocks of supplies and merchandise. Records were originally arranged in accordance with these functions, and this order has been maintained or restored. The fonds consists of administrative records from the British Columbia Assessment Authority and the Corporation of Delta. The fonds consists of correspondence, the majority of which is concerned with the confirmation of lease contracts by private citizens, corporations, and the Corporation of Delta. Here the lease contract is summarized and includes location and size of lot, length of lease, and rental cost. Other correspondence includes requests for information on clarification of lease contracts, tax assessment, status of other properties, and land survey reports. Also, there are lists of foreshore leases, survey plans, survey maps, two examination sketches, and copies of lease contracts.
