Né le 22 juillet 1918, Roger Guenet est le fils de J.-Roméo Guenet (?-1965), arpenteur-géomètre. Il est admis à l'Ordre des arpenteurs du Québec le 17 avril 1956. Il épouse, le 11 janvier 1941, Pauline Roberge, fille de feu Paul Roberge de Bagotville. Il meurt en 2009 à l'âge de 91 ans
