Ted Turner donated these records to the Regina office, Saskatchewan Archives in two accessions in 2004: R2004-217 (June 9, 2004) and R2004-294 (October 12, 2004).

Scope and content

This fonds consists of records created, accumulated and used by E.K. Turner in his various positions within the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Prairie Pools Inc.; as Chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan; as member of a number of advisory committees to the Government of Canada on international trade including the International Trade Advisory Committee, and the Chamber of Maritime Commerce; as director of various agricultural and biotechnology enterprises; and as a fundraiser and volunteer with a wide variety of local, provincial and national organizations relating to health, education, sports and agriculture.

The types of records included are correspondence, reports, minutes, agendas, memoranda, briefing notes, scripts of speeches, photographs, sectional maps of Saskatchewan, audio cassette tape recordings of speeches and interviews.

Arrangement reflects original order and archival intervention. Little discernable order existed at the time of acquisition of the material other than broad relationships identifiable within bundles of records. The records have been broken down into series and files by the archivist by subject, date and originating activity where possible and titles have been supplied.
