Biographical history

In 1886, William P. Scott began publishing the Eastern Echo, a weekly newspaper, at Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It ceased publication in 1891.

Custodial history

Records were donated by Ronald MacDonald, an Antigonish resident and historian.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of one day book which includes invoices, statements, purchase orders and other documents created in the business of running the Eastern Echo. The newspapers include 18 issues, of which no. 4 and 8 are missing.
