General note
Ernest Williamson (born 1918) was the youngest son of Elsie and Alexander Williamson, Scottish immigrants who homesteaded at Sturgeon Lake and later Red Willow Creek (Valleyview). After his father died in the early 1950s Ernest took over managing the Revillion Freres Trading Post that the Williamsons bought in 1924. Ernest lived in the Williamson family home and worked at the trading post until shortly before his death in 1994.
