Fonds consists of published material, correspondence, pamphlets, off-prints on foreign language broadcasting around the world; correspondence and literature on the League of Nations Society in Canada; and correspondence with the Canadian Prisoners’ Welfare Association, the Penal Association of Canada and the Prisoners’ Aid and Welfare Association.

Fonds consists of sensitive material regarding chemical warfare. These papers include correspondence, research, reports, notebooks, articles, and manuals. Also included is an unpublished manuscript titled "Adventures of a Chemist in Search of Poisons" written by Dr. Young. The manuscript tells of some of his experiences during his twenty-five years as a forensic chemist.

Fonds consists of ten notebooks, a file of correspondence, and photographs and negatives of landscapes, geological samples and group pictures taken in Europe and Canada. Many of the records were created during a geological survey of Canada undertaken by Frank Dawson Adams and W.A. Carlyle.
