L'Association coopérative immobilière de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue est fondée en 1971 dans le but de promouvoir l'achat et la mise en valeur des terres par la population locale afin de contrer la spéculation sur les lots forestiers abitibiens de la part des Américains
Custodial history
Le fonds a été remis au Centre d'archives de l'Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue après 1974 et par dépôts successifs. Il a été transféré aux Archives nationales du Québec en mai 1979

Le fonds comprend de la correspondance avec les intervenants régionaux et provinciaux, des notes et des listes diverses concernant la spéculation dans la région, des coupures de presse, des revues et des brochures sur la spéculation foncière
