Biographical history

Guiding first began in the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia ca. 1927 with the formation of the 1st Wilmot Company. From that time onward companies and packs formed throughout the area. As Guiding flourished the Division of Annapolis and Digby was created, which followed the provincial county lines. The Division was divided into Annapolis Division and Digby Division in the 1960s. In 1973 the region was again reorganized when it was arranged into three Divisions: Digby, Triangle and Annapolis West. Presently Fundy View Area consist of Digby-Annapolis West Division and Annapolis East Division. The former is made up of Digby, Digby Neck & Islands, Triangle and Weymouth Districts. The latter is made up of Bridgetown, Lawrencetown, Middleton, Nictaux and Wilmot Districts.
