The fonds consists records which reflect the responsibilities and activities of the General Superintendent of the PAOC. There are fourteen series. Series 1 - Correspondence. This series consists of the correspondence of the General Superintendent with the General Executive, General Officers, national office staff, other members of the PAOC as well as outside bodies relating to the range of issues in which the PAOC was involved. Series 2 - Circular letters. This series consists of the circular letters which were distributed to the fellowship by the General Superintendent on a regular basis. Series 3 - Calendars and schedules. The records in this series document the meetings, conferences, and engagements of the General Superintendent. Series 4 - Alphabetical files. These files are subject files which are arranged alphabetically. They encompass a wide range of issues relating to Districts and Branches, as well as outside some organizations. These records also document the Superintendents Retreat and the 500+ Pastors Gathering. Series 5 - General Conference administration records. These are the records which were generated through the planning and organization of the General Conference. Some of these records may be duplicated in the General Conference fonds. Series 6 - Ministry Information Packets. These information packets contain communications from the International Office to each pastor for distribution and use in the local churches. They were sent out monthly. Series 7 - Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. records. The records in this series consist of Board of Directors minutes, correspondence and reports of the Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. From 1967 to 1977 Crossroads operated under the Evangelism Committee of the PAOC and served as the national telecast of the PAOC. In 1977 it became incorporated as Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. and was no longer legally tied to the PAOC. The General Superintendent, however, sat on the Board of Crossroads as an ex-officio member after its separation from the PAOC. Since 1996 there as been no PAOC representation on the Crossroads Board of Directors. Series 8 - Evangelical Fellowship of Canada records. This series contains records which reflect the PAOC's participation in the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. The series includes agenda, minutes, reports, correspondence, news releases, brochures, booklets and submissions. Series 9 - Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America records. This organization was previously known as the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America. This series contains records which reflect the PAOC's participation in the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America and then the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America. The series includes reports, correspondence, minutes, brochures, constitutions and by-laws, circular letters, clippings and conference packages which include schedules, brochures, reports, and essays. Series 10 - Pentecostal World Conference records. This series contains records which relate to the PAOC's participation in Pentecostal World Conferences. Most of the records reflect the administration and arrangement for the Pentecostal World Conference held in Vancouver in 1979 which was hosted by the PAOC. The series includes reports, correspondence, local arrangement records, minutes, brochures, notes, and press releases. Series 11 - Excel publications. Excel is a program of communication with the PAOC leadership which mixes traditional and nontraditional methods of interaction such as publications and online activities. The series contains copies of Enrich which is one publication of the Excel initiative. Series 12 - Public relations records. This series consists of records which document the public relations function for which the General Superintendent was responsible. The records include correspondence both within and outside the PAOC, administrative records, news releases, and minutes and correspondence from the Canadian Public Relations Society. Series 13 - Assemblies of God relationship records. The records in this series reflect the close association between the PAOC and the Assemblies of God, based in the United States. The records include correspondence, agenda, minutes, resolutions, reports, brochures, circular letters, news releases, and conference programs and resolutions. This series also includes correspondence, minutes, a statement of faith, and constitution and by-laws of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. Series 14 - Leadership Council records. The Leadership Council is a gathering of the elected leaders of the PAOC which gives them the opportunity to gather to study vital issues, consider current trends, review existing policy and determine scriptural stance in a changing society. The records consist of correspondence, reports, brochures, schedules and agenda, notes, registration forms, and administrative records related to travel and accommodation. The series also includes some records from the Pentecostal Leadership Institute which preceded the Leadership Council.
