Custodial history

Photos in accession 91-032 were produced in 1991 for Morrison from negatives located by chance in the basement of the Lethbridge City Police station by Morrison's son-in-law.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of photographs of Alberta lawyers and legal community events, and portraits of judges. Includes some photos relating to the firm of Virtue & Co., special judicial events around the province and, and court houses. Photos in accession 91-032 were probably originally taken by a police photographer. These photographs were acquired by Morrison from various sources as he pursued his interest in the history of the legal profession in Alberta.
