The records of the Dauphin Pastoral Charge came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of two transfers of records from the charge in 1996 and 1998. While the run of Sacramental Registers appears to be reasonably complete for most congregations there are significant gaps in the records of church management, such as the records of the Official Boards, Sessions and the Committees of Stewards. The records of Lay Associations, specifically women's groups, are usually more complete.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of documents created by the congregations of the Grace Methodist-Grace United Church and includes the following series: records of the Official Board, 1916-1929; records pertaining to church property, 1899-1919; and records of Lay Associations, 1920-1929.
