Harry Gabriel was an independent truck driver who hauled explosives during construction of the Alaska Highway.
Custodial history
Accession 2005/10 was donated by Harry Gabriel's son Ron in 2005. Accession 2007/182 was donated by Ron's son Garrett in 2007.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of one hundred original black and white photographs which depict construction of the Alaska Highway from Dawson Creek, B.C. to Whitehorse, Yukon in 1942 and 1943. The majority of photographs capture the area between Fort Nelson to Watson Lake. The original caption list accompanies the photographs.
