Includes correspondence to Thomas Aitken related to compensation and pension payments; invoices and receipts for the funeral and burial of Mary A. Greenwell and John B.Greenwell; information circulars from the Workmen's Compensation Board, the Unemployment Insurance Commission and the New Vancouver Coal Mining and Land Company; Thomas Aitken's Sick and Accident fund passbook from the Western Fuel Corporation; Certificates of Competency for Thomas and Isaac Aitken; copies of the Constitution of the International Union of the United Mine Worker's of America, the Wage Agreement between Canadian Collieries and UMWA, District No. 18 and a copy of the I.C.S. Coal Miner's Handbook; a handbill for a union meeting, a medical certificate for Isaac; and a small notebook that records cheques sent and received and various other items. Also included are the eye glasses and cases of Thomas and Mary Aitken.

Fonds consists of reproduced maps and reports, annotated by Addison, related to the Blue Flame Mine. Includes a copy of a portion of the G.H. Clapp report on gas formations in the Nanaimo Basin (1912), a copy of the Wilkinson report of Morden Mine and area (1920), a copy of a drilling report of the Big Flame Mine, and copies of sketches Addison made in 1969 of the stratigraphy in the area around the Blue Flame Mine.
The collection consists of settlement maps (including townsite and subdivision plans), land use maps, street maps, logging and forest road maps, mineral claim maps, railroad and rights-of-way maps, real estate maps, recreational maps (including parks), and other maps of communities and areas in the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District.
The fonds consists of records of the Alberni Pacific Lumber Company and its subsidiary, the Alberni Pacific Transport Company including general operating ledgers (1918-1927), sales ledgers (1922-1931), rail and cargo shipment ledgers (1939-1949), and U.S. rail shipments ledger (1941-1954).

It includes personal and business correspondence, three nursing notebooks belonging to Marguerite Wood, certificates, ephemera and photographs of family, scenes in Prince Rupert such as fishing boats, the cold storage plant, 5th Avenue West and 2nd Avenue West in the 1920s, Rebekah Lodge members, Tsimpsian Lodge members, the 1930 graduating class of the Prince Rupert Hospital School of Nursing, Bill Smith and Bill Wilson-Murray of Northern B.C. Power. It also includes records and postcards from Margaret Maddrell, Bert Wood's sister, and her first husband, Thomas Clwydd Williams.
