Fonds consists of cannery ledgers, minutes, labour contracts, correspondence, licences and inspection reports for canneries, operational records of the reduction plant at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, photographs, publications and a "China Contract" which sets out the terms for the provision of labourers for the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in its first year of operation. The labour contracts also describe agreements between the Canadian Fishing Company and members of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union governing hours of work, wages and fish prices. The minutes are those describing the establishment of the Gulf of Georgia Canning Company in 1894. The most complete records are those of the operation of the reduction plant from the 1940s to the 1970s. This fonds documents the activities of the New Brunswick branch of the Canadian Forestry Association, from its organization in 1939, and sheds light on the workings of the national body. It consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings of the provincial and national bodies, reports, briefs, research papers, submissions, financial statements, copies of speeches and radio talks, and a copy of the constitution. The fonds also includes scrapbooks, newsclippings, and printed material, as well as a copy of T. M. Pond's "Summation of activities of the Canadian Forestry Association of New Brunswick, 1939-1976". Also includes a Prospectus of the Maritime Forest Ranger School (1966)

The fonds consists of the cashbook (1907-1910) of the Canadian Pacific Lumber Company.

The collection consists of 91 volumes of log books of North Pacific sealing vessels detailing crews, seals taken and hunting area; 9 volumes of Entrance and Clearance logs for Burrard Inlet, Nanaimo and Victoria (1872-1889), and other assorted records relating to maritime activities.

The fonds consists of correspondence (1912-1931), interim statements (1936-1953) and cost statements (1958) of the Canadian Western Lumber Company Ltd. Fonds includes an early letterbook (with financial statements) of the MacLaren Ross Lumber Company and the Buckingham Pulp Company. Fonds also includes records of timber returns, timber cruises, and estimates of the Columbia River Lumber Company Ltd.

File contains a monthly recording of the wages and expenses of employees from May 1898 to October 1901.
