The collection consists of photographs and reference files about the Klondike Gold Rush, collected by Margretta Gaundroue. The photographs depict mining along the creeks, and the streets and buildings of Dawson, ca. 1898-1950. There are captions on some of the photographs. Some of the views are of Granville, the Arlington Hotel at Hunker Creek, Gold Bottom Hotel, the Governor's residence, the Commissioner's residence, the homes of G.A. Jeckell and Dr. J.O. Lachapelle, the D.A.A. billiard room, rink and natatorium, the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP) hall, church buildings, Klondike City, some of the first claims on Bonanza Creek, creek settlements, bank employees watching over gold bricks and the staff of the Administration Building. Photographers include Duclos, Wolfe and Dam.; There are short articles about the discovery of gold, Bonanza Tours, the Yukon flag, the Klondike Visitors Association, and the sinking of the "Sophia". There is also sheet music published ca. 1900.
