The diary gives quite detailed notes regarding the sights the author saw and her experiences while travelling. The writer was probably travelling with family, as she mentions her Uncle being there with her. A Mr. F. is mentioned as well along with a Mr. Taylor who was supposed to preach in one of the temple ruins. Also mentioned is Knox College, where the author intended to donate antiquities she acquired in Egypt.
