Collection includes hand drawn map of Chilkoot Trail, Northwestern Canada, GSC maps of Northwest Shakwak Valley and Yukon Territory, the latter showing many winter roads and communities which no longer exist, Hudson's Bay Company Peace River District, Teslin, Kluane Corridor Regional Study, an early map of the Yukon and a Rand McNally map of Canada.

The collection consists of 6 sales receipts of meat purchases for sternwheelers and a ledger which lists the cost and weight of different meats sold to individuals and businesses in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The photographs in this collection were part of unidentified collections and were organized under the title "Site Specific" for research and exhibit purposes. Included are a very diverse range of photographs of sites and subjects in the Yukon, Alaska, along the Yukon River and the Chilkoot and White Pass Trails, British Columbia, and other locations. Yukon sites include Carcross showing a sternwheeler, railway bridge, and the town site, Ben-My-Chree on the West Taku Arm, Mayo, a log cabin at Haggart Creek in the Keno area and Dawson City. Images of Alaska include: Skagway, Dyea, Valdez, Fairbanks, St. Michael, Haines, Beaver City, Fort Yukon, Point Barrow, Louden, Ruby City, Cordova, Foster Glacier, Muir Glacier and Holy Cross Mission on the Yukon River. Images of British Columbia include: a street scene in Bennett, showing Dawson Hotel, Bennett Lake and Klondike Navigation Co. Ltd. warehouses, the church at Bennett, and an Atlin street scene showing the Kendome and Kootenay Hotels. The collection also consists of images of a native cemetery showing Spirit Houses and a native village on the Chilkat River, Pleasant Camp on the Dalton Trail, White Pass Summit, and Chilkoot Trail, Miles Canyon, Five Finger Rapids, a view from the Dome in Dawson Cityshowing the sternwheeler graveyard and islands near Moosehide, the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) Post on Dalton Trail and Tagish, circa 1898, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) station at Haines Junction, a bridge at North Fork of the Klondike River, Pueblo Mine and Grafter Mine outside of Whitehorse, Department of Transport houses in Destruction Bay, Hotel Upper LeBarge [Laberge], a ward in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dawson City, the tram line in Whitehorse and a series of images of the Inside Passage including Prince Rupert and Alert Bay.

The fonds consists of photographs apparently documenting a trip to the Klondike Gold Fields though the order is not always sequential. The images are faded and locations and activities are difficult to identify. Subject matter includes a tent with a Union Jack flag, possibly a Royal North West Mounted Police (RNWMP) tent, men posing in front of the tent, an exterior view of Billy's Mug, a pub in a city, an ocean going vessel, Skagway, a man standing on a rail line probably in Skagway, a group of men travelling in winter with loaded sleds, log cabins, the Yukon River and rapids, a large body of water, possibly Lake Laberge, men hunting, Niagara Falls, and many unidentified scenic views.

The photographs were part of unidentified collections and were organized by "Personalities, Unidentified" for research and exhibit purposes. The scope of this collection is broad with a wide variation in format, size, subject matter, and dates. The images were taken by many different photographers, professional and amateur, in studios and natural settings, with people posing or candid. Some of the prints are professionally mounted and others extracted from an album, and many are loose prints. The subject matter portrayed includes people posing with big game trophies, riverboat crews, a work crew at the shipyard, life on the creeks, outings on frozen Lake Laberge, mine disaster survivors, individual and class photos, crowning of a school Queen, back stage of various amateur theatre productions, kids in a park, Rendezvous 1962, interiors of cabins or roadhouses, dance hall girls, prostitutes of Dawson City, young boys in uniform, a bridge party at Justice Macaulay's home, 1912 champion hockey team, reception for the Governor General Vincent Massey, men in fur coats, American service men in combat fatigues, first truck convoy from Whitehorse to Fairbanks November 20 1942, and the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP). There are various photographs of prospectors en route to the Klondike, out of doors concerts of the 18th Engineers Corps at Silver City, a series of midnight sun spectator group photos on the Midnight Dome in Dawson City, mining engineer's banquet 1905 in Whitehorse, a dance hall scene in Dawson City, and the Whitehorse Band. There is a series of North West Mounted Police (NWMP) group pictures at various stations, and the lost McPherson Patrol and the search party. The collection includes many images of First Nation people including a woman dancing accompanied by a man drumming, an Eskimo woman at St. Michael, Alaska, women at Moosehide Creek, women with birch bark baskets, Whitehorse July 1st 1967 celebrations with a man in a dance shirt and bear claw hat, Chief of the Teslin Indians with several other people in traditional dress, and Skookum Jim and the Carcross potlatch dancers.

The collection consists of photographs taken in Dawson City including a group of people posing and playing on the tennis court, nurses and their friends, a view of the town from Crocus Bluff, the cable ferry and barges at the waterfront, and the firehall and fire fighting equipment. Also included are images of the Yukon River in the Whitehorse area during spring breakup, the interior of a house, people travelling by horse-drawn carriages, and a group of individuals snowshoeing, and hunting.

Collection consists of sequential photographs of the construction of Dredge #4 outside of Dawson City, Yukon 1940. One photograph includes an overall view of the construction site and the last photograph is Dredge #4 on an angle and partially submerged in a creek.

The collection consists of audio tape cassettes recorded by various researchers recruited to conduct projects for the MacBride Museum in 1988 and 1993. Includes interviews of Whitehorse area residents by researchers Pam Braun and Lori Jackson relating to the identification of Museum artifacts and photographs of unknown origin, and interviews by Helene Dobrowolsky created in the course of the Whitehorse Copper Belt Research Project to interpret Yukon mining history. The collection is divided into the following: Artifacts Project (1988), Photograph Identification Project (1993), Whitehorse Copper Belt Research Project (1993), Geological Sample Identification Project (1993), and Mining Artifacts Project (1993).

The collection consists of audio tape cassettes containing storytelling, oral histories, presentations, and other programs and events at the MacBride Museum and in greater Whitehorse. Includes First Nations creation stories told by Louise Profeit-LeBlanc and Ruth Carrol, drum songs by Kolvane Fox, and a narrative of Laurent Cyr's life in the Yukon presented at the 1991 Sourdough Rendezvous. The oral history interviews conducted by Museum staff and other individuals cover topics including biographical information of the persons interviewed, travel, transportation, geography, activities, and people in the Yukon. Interviews include: Roy Minter's visit with MacBride Museum Director Joanne Meehan in 1990 regarding the outdoor artifacts, his arrival in Whitehorse in 1955, involvement with the Museum, and friend William D. MacBride; an interview of Bonnie Piper by Marjorie Almstrom in 1991 on her life and travels in the Yukon beginning 1946; interview of Pat Olsen by Doreen Wahl in 1991 relating to the Whitehorse stamp club; and Neil McLeod interview relating to his work on the sternwheelers 1935-1941 and his photographs of the Yukon. The collection contains other miscellaneous sound recordings: Kitty Smith talking about her carvings, a presentation on Mount Logan by geologist Charlie Roots, the Alcan Highway and Soldier's Summit official openings, Robert Service reading his poetry, Pierre Burton on the Klondike Gold Rush, and various Museum talks and tours. Some of the audio tape cassettes were copied in the 1990s.

The collection consists of a letter and diary. The letter was written by W.P. Cellbish [?] to his father December 1897 from Lake Lindeman describing his experiences in getting to and hiking the Chilkoot Trail. The diary, written by an unidentified individual, documents a trip from Dawson City, Alaska to Whitehorse, to Skagway by train, and Dyea to Bennett Lake via the Chilkoot Trail.
