This series consists of various materials published by, for or about the TWH. The series is divided into three sub-series:

TW 9-1 Western Hours
TW 9-2 West Winds
TW 9-3 Special purpose publications

This series consists of personnel records for employees of the TWH who were hired, employed, or left the Hospital's employment between ca. 1919 and 1939. The series is divided into two sub-series reflecting the arrangement of the records maintained by the Hospital:

TW 8-1 Current employee files
TW 8-2 Ex-employee files

Records were arranged alphabetically rather than chronologically, such that each file contains records until ca. 1939. The records themselves consist of file cards containing each employee's name, address, telephone number, date hired and/or date left service, wages, name and address of nearest relative or reference, and notes re: the employee's absences from work. The series includes records for administrative and nursing staff (including A.C. Galbraith, A.J. Swanson, D. McMahon (later Shrimpton), B. Ellis, and E. Wark) but with some few exceptions (mostly interns), does not include records for medical staff.

Series consists of miscellaneous general administrative files created or maintained by the TWH Department of Nursing and relating to the management of the nursing service.

This series consists of various records created and maintained by the TWH medical staff and photographs of members of the medical staff and intern staff. The series is divided into four sub-series:

TW 3-3. Intern group photographs (annual)
TW 3-4. Minute book

Series consists of various records created and maintained by the chief executive office of the TWH between 1913 and 1983. The Hospital's chief executive officer has held various designations. Until about 1929 the title was "Superintendent". When A.J. Swanson was appointed chief executive officer in 1929 the title was changed to "General Superintendent". In 1967 the designation was again changed, to "Executive Director".

Series consists of various records created or maintained by the Board of Governors (1896-1967)/ Board of Trustees (1968-1986) of the Toronto Western Hospital. The series is divided into two sub-series:

TW 1-1 Annual Reports
TW 1-2 General administrative files

Series consists of the bound minutes of the Annual Meetings of the Members of the Toronto Western Hospital. Minutes in each volume or file are in reverse chronological order.

Series consists of minutes of the Toronto Western Hospital’s Board of Governors (1896-1967)/ Board of Trustees (1968-1986) which had been kept as seven volumes, six of which were locked binders. Some minutes from the Building Committee, Finance Committee, Executive Committee, Joint Conference Committee and other special committees are included. Minutes in each volume or file are in reverse chronological order.
