Fonds consists of documents and photographs related to Mr. Coleman's career as manager of the Strand Theatre and his involvement in the Klondyke Hotel. The collection is divided into two series and one file. The first series consists of projectionist books, letterhead, receipts and photographs documenting operations of the Strand Theatre. The second series relate to the life and career of Daniel McKay. Mr. McKay was the original owner of the hotel who successfully found gold in the Yukon during the gold rush in 1900. This series consists of customs documents and receipts and textual records related to the Klondyke Hotel. Mr. McKay built and operated the hotel after returning to Sydney in 1901.
