This series consists of records created, accumulated and used by Palma Anderson in her personal and family life.

The types of records included are academic notes and essays, correspondence, family history documents, a yearbook and reunion documents from the Moose Jaw Normal School, clippings, poetry, a certificate, and a photograph.

Also included within the series are records of the late Dave Treherne, Palma Anderson's ex-husband. These include yearbooks, programmes, correspondence, professional articles, and clippings.

The series has been arranged into three sub-series: University Studies; Personal Correspondence and Other Items; and Dave Treherne.

Miscellaneous Correspondence

This series contains incoming and outgoing general correspondence with a variety of individuals, organizations and companies, arranged alphabetically by surname or corporate name. Once a certain volume of correspondence with a particular correspondence accumulated in a miscellaneous file, in individual file was created for the correspondent in the General Correspondence series (F 410-3). The correspondence not moved to the General Correspondence series is found here in the Miscellaneous Correspondence series.

"A" Correspondence with Physicians

This series consists of correspondence between Dr. Hoffer and other physicians around the world. This correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, is arranged alphabetically by correspondent's surname, in three sub-series.

"A-1" correspondence is with physicians who have illness within their own families. Most often these physicians are seeking Dr. Hoffer's advice or assistance in treating their afflicted relatives, usually schizophrenics.

"A-2 correspondence is with physicians using orthomolecular medicine or psychiatry. These physicians are frequently requesting technical advice and detailed information concerning orthomolecular treatment.

"A-3" correspondence is with physicians who are merely requesting information regarding orthomolecular medicine or psychiatry. These requests are usually simpler than in A-2, often asking for specific information such as reprints, addresses, treatment manuals, and the like.
