The fonds consists of one file titled Interview Transcripts, which contains recorded interviews, transcripts, and printed copies of transcribed interviews of research done by Sharon Fortney towards her PhD thesis titled Forging New Partnerships: Coast Salish Communities and Museums. Forney's thesis explores what motivates Coast Salish communities to participate in museum representations; considers the legal implications of such representations with respect to aboriginal rights; and analyzes of the diverse experiences of Coast Salish individuals in specific museum projects and partnerships with the goal of progressing museum and community interactions along a path to equal partnership.

The audiotapes in the fonds contain interviews with Coast Salish community members and artists regarding museums. The CD-R contains transcripts of interviews and is located in the temporary CD storage box. Sharon Fortney's curriculam vitae, thesis abstract, and 10 interviewee consent forms are located in the case file.

Fonds reflects Carter’s photographic work in several British Columbia First Nations communities ca. 1950-1979. Records consist of transparencies, negatives, prints, and slides.

The fonds consists of photographs of Gloria Kaplan with various indigenous artists, whose names have been recorded in the image titles and IPTC metadata. The photographs were taken by Selig Kaplan with the intention of documenting the artists from whom the Kaplans acquired artwork or anticipated acquiring artwork from.

The scanned images in this fonds represent a selection of Robert Reford’s amateur photographs found in two albums from his time in British Columbia (1889-1891). The photographs were taken in various parts of British Columbia. They are presented in the order that existed in the original albums.

Fonds consists of audio, video, and visual materials created by Basil and Edythe Hartley. Materials include video footage of the Haisla people, which Hartley shot while working in Kitimaat from 1941-1944, a voiceover for the footage which Hartley’s widow, Edythe McClure, created in ca. 1983, a letter, and three photographs of Kitimaat people and landscapes. The three audio cassettes all contain the same 1983 recording.

The fonds consists of 28 black and white photographs taken by Codere in 1955 during her second field work expedition to B.C. 19 of the photos were taken in and around Alert Bay, while the remaining 9 were taken on Hope Island.

This fonds consists of six 16mm film reels of Celebration of the Raven. There are also two audio reels which are soundtracks for the film. Film reels include stills and test stills and camera originals. Most reels are labeled according to the scene.

The fonds consists of 7 photographs from a June 1958 centennial celebration in Alert Bay that Barwick described as having been ordered from a local cameraman. There are also 7 postcards that contain images of Alert Bay ca. 1949 or 1950 that were purchased by Barwick in the summer of 1958. Sixteen negatives were taken by Barwick at an excavation at Beach Grove in the Fraser River delta in June of 1957, likely done under the guidance of Charles Borden, a Lecturer and later Professor of Archaeology at UBC who studied the Beach Grove site from ca. 1955 to 1958. Notes on the envelope indicate these include images of D. N. Abbott, Colin McCafferty, and Nansi Swayze.

Fonds consists of matted prints of engravings made from sketches created by John Webber as official artist on Captain James Cook’s third voyage. Prints depict landscapes, animals, people, clothing styles, architecture, and events that were encountered on the voyage in places such as New Zealand, the Friendly Islands (Tonga), the Sandwich Islands (the Hawaiian Islands), Nootka Sound (Vancouver Island, BC), and Van Dieman’s Land (Tasmania).

The fonds consists of records Telfer created or received during the time that she spent as a teacher at residential schools. It include correspondence, essays, schedules, programs, ephemera notes and a significant number of photographs. These records are primarily related to the Morely School, the Coqueeletza School and the Port Alberni Residential School, as well as the Stoney Nation.
