Guttormsson/Guttormson, Johannesson, Anderson, Watt, Koshyk, Russell Family fonds

The fonds consists of two accessions, both containing various records specific to particular members of the Guttormsson/Guttormson, Johannesson, Anderson, and Russell families. Particularly dominant in the family records found in the first accession (A14-70) are Einar Guttormsson, Stephan Guttormsson, Frederikka Elizabeth Johannesson, Asdis Sigrun Anderson, Hinrik Guttormson, and James Watt. Thus, the accession has been organized into series or subject files featuring each of these family members. The first series contains the records of Einar Guttormsson. The second series is made up of the records of Stephan Guttormsson. The third series comprises the effects of Frederikka Elizabeth Johannesson. The fourth series features Asdis Sigrun (Guttormsson) Anderson's personal effects. The fifth series contains the records of Hinrik Guttormson. The seventh series consists of the work of James Watt. The eighth series contains general family history and familial records. The ninth series contains Oversize Materials.

Accession A14-74 contains original correspondence from young soldiers Private Fredrik and Sergeant Hinrik Guttormson as they served in World War Two.

Walter Rudnicki fonds

This fonds consists of material on the aboriginal history, culture, education, health, housing, and politics. Walter Rudnicki was an active participant in many of the subjects collected by him in the course of his life. In the most cases, this material is organized into themes and contains correspondence, government documents, reports, press releases, newspaper clippings, and documents of many aboriginal organizations and their leaders.

Jeffrey Cook fonds

This fonds consists of records related mainly to the academic research and writings of Jeffrey Cook. Records include correspondence, newspaper clippings, articles, research notes and draft writings. Areas of research include Hungarian and Eastern European organic architecture (including research on Imre Makovecz), and research on Frank Lloyd Wright and the FLW School of Architecture. Also included is a set of The Brochure Series of Architectural Illustration from 1899-1901 and a facsimile edition of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence.

Leone Hinds fonds

Fonds consists of records accumulated by Leone Hinds related to Guelph's Sesquicentennial in 1977. Included are pamphlets and booklets outlining the activities, lectures and other events held to celebrate Guelph's 150th birthday. There are also six postcards of various Guelph buildings and one plastic bag with the slogan "Keep Guelph Clean and Beautiful." Also of interest is a Guelph Public Library Rules and Regulations booklet.

The photographs document a wedding as it relates to several Guelph residents. A more detailed account of the activities of some of those pictured accompanies the photographs.

What's Up Poster Service fonds

This fonds consists of posters created and or accumulated by the What's Up Postal Service. These records document the business activities of this service which created publicity materials for various Guelph based organizations and events. Posters were created for events held at the River Run Centre, the University of Guelph, and the Guelph Jazz Festival.

This fonds consists of minutes, financial statements and park managers reports documenting the official business of the foundation. The Park Managers Reports describe maintenance carried out on the park and activities associated with helping to care for the park’s waterfowl. A small proportion of records in this fonds includes pamphlets, brochures, newspaper clippings, newsletters and a photograph created and or accumulated by the Niska Wildlife Foundation.

Matthew-Wells Company fonds

This fonds consists of photographs and textual records created and or received by the Matthew Wells Company in Guelph, Ontario during the course of their business activities. The photographs include aerial shots of the plant in Guelph and of one based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. There is also a photograph of the plant’s employees, a woman’s sport team and of the company’s products such as bottles of jams and jellies likely used for promotional or advertisement purposes. The textual components consist of the company’s stationary, examples of labels for use on their products, payment vouchers and a booklet entitled, NPPA Sponsored Fundamental Research Unraveling the Mysteries of Pickling, 70 Years of Progress: The Pickle Fair.
