Fonds consists of 16 mm film footage shot by Ross L. Dobbin of the Peterborough Exhibition, Morrow Park, a local plowing match and other events. The Exhibition reels show: grandstand attractions, midway, livestock exhibits, and buildings including Crystal Palace and Manufacturers Building. The Exhibition footage shows circus acts, precision horse riding by the Royal Canadian Dragoon Musical Ride, high wire acts, acrobats, dog and pony shows, trapese artists, rodeo riders, a kangaroo boxing act, high diving into a pool, horse riding tricks, ferris wheel and a carousel. Fonds also includes material relating to Dobbin's involvement in the Committee for Total War, promoting full mobilization and conscription, and assorted ephemera such as comic postcards from the 1940's.
